Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it really is alarmed concerning the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out SRD to a read more large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company stage made for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
